Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is a new strain of coronavirus first identified in Wuhan City, China. 
This is a rapidly evolving situation which is being monitored carefully.

What are the symptoms of a 2019-nCoV?

If you have been to China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand in the last 14 days and develop ANY of the symptoms listed below, please contact NHS 111 or your GP practice immediately. 

Please do NOT attend your GP practice in person - please phone for advice from home:

  • Cough
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Fever
  • Difficulty breathing

If you have been to Wuhan City or Hubei Province and do NOT have symptoms, please remain at home for 14 days and:
  • Do not go to work, school or public areas
  • Avoid visitors in your home
  • Avoid using public transport or taxis

Symptoms to look out for:

  • Fever
  • Difficulty breathing

Please phone your GP or NHS 111 if you start to develop any symptoms immediately.
